Rose Design Competition Opportunity/Deadline Approaches

The deadline is fast approaching for the All-America Rose SelectionsTM 2006 Designing with Roses Competition, which honors and celebrates excellence in landscape design for residential and commercial gardens. The AARS will accept entries from February 21 through July 7, 2006. All entries must be received by July 7, 2006 to be considered. Please fill out the official entry form found on the website www.rose.org and return it by June 15, 2006 to receive the official binder.

Who Should Enter?
The Designing with Roses Competition seeks submissions from professional and student landscape architects that have designed creative and innovative gardens that utilize roses as a core design element.

Awards & RecognitionWinners of the Designing with Roses Competition will be selected at the AARSTM Annual meeting in August 2006 and will receive featured coverage in the All-America Rose Selections newsletter, the AARS web site, the ASLA newsletter, as well as other landscape trade and general interest garden publications.

Winners will be announced and honored in August 2006 at the Awards Presentation Ceremony at the 58th annual Garden Writers Association symposium in Valley Forge, Penn.
JudgingWinners of the AARS Designing with Roses competition will be selected by a jury of experts including Better Homes & Garden Editor Elvin McDonald, Sunset Magazine Writer Lauren Swezey, ASLA Fellow Rosheen Styczinski, ASLA Member W. Gary Smith and Pasadena Tournament of Roses Director Wendy Matthes.
